Open to all Practitioners (professional and non-professional)

Membership opens the door to an array of awards designed to encourage and develop a practitioners interest in various aspects the martial arts.

Upon registration, members have access to the full array of MIMAF/Practitioner Pathways

Members also have the option of working through the Institute’s Grading syllabus to achieve higher levels of technical skills development via an independent system of accreditation and recognition.

Professional Members can also set up as a MIMAF Hub if they have a martial arts school or organization.

Members can also get a MASTERS INTERNATIONAL MARTIAL ARTS PRACTITIONER PASSPORT for use around the world. It is your introduction to any dojo as a bona fide practitioner. It includes a summation of your Martial Arts CV. It can also be updated at any time.

Note:

MIMAF Membership and consequent licensing via MIMAF Pathways does not override any other countries' legal requirements / practicing licenses such as the time validity of first aid certification, refereeing, security, et al. The MIMAF Licensing is only valid for the duration of such certifications as applied in the applicant's country of origin.

MEMBERSHIP - LIFETIME

MIMAF Membership is a Lifetime Membership. It is available to all martial artists, professional and non-professional.

Membership is the first step to the pathways on offer. These MIMAF Pathways are designed to challenge practitioners to further develop their knowledge, skills and interest in the study and practice of the martial arts.

A MIMAF Practitioner Passport is also available. It serves as a GATEWAY for a bona fide practitioner introduction to any dojo around the world. It is a requirement for a valid Membership.

Registered Martial Arts School: MIMAF- RMAS

Award – Accredited RMAS. MIMAF

Open to all Professional Practitioners
Professional Practitioners might be an instructor at their school, or a competitor on a professional martial arts circuit. They may also be involved in activities provided by their head dojo or governing organization. Some registered schools may also evolve into a RMATO over time or become a registered independent school.
Benefits include access to gradings, and all other awards for both teachers and students.

Membership entitles a school to apply for Regional MIMAF HUB registration.

Registered Martial Arts Training Organization: MIMAF - RMATO

Award - Accredited RMATO. MIMAF

Open to the Head School, or a martial arts organization.

Benefits include access to discounted awards for the organization and its members.

Requirements

Open to schools (any Art form, style or a mix)
Open to organizations (must be legally set up as an association, company, other, et al
Have its own Insurance
Have its own Child Protection policy
Provide an array of training activities for its members
Provide Professional Development for its professional members

MIMAF - OPEN DOJO

This can be a single independent dojo, a group of schools or an organization that hosts a regular OPEN DOJO event by welcoming anyone interested in training with them regardless of rank, art, or style.

While not a common phenomenon, it is becoming more widely practised by those who are happy to share their knowledge with others. Those that do participate learn from the instruction offered, and where possible, share their own knowledge with other participants at the host dojo.

Accredited Regional MIMAF HUB (RMH)

Open to any school or organization seeking accreditation as a Regional MIMAF HUB (RMH).

Contact us in the first instance if your school or organization wishes to take on this opportunity.

A Regional MIMAF Hub offers courses and classes to members seeking to follow MIMAF PATHWAYS e.g. first aid, referee and judging, OPEN DOJO, masterclasses, tournament direction, Martial Arts Studies, CPMA, etc.

Benefits include permission to assess candidates for higher level certifications and accreditation for both the school or organization and its members. This can also be extended to practitioners outside of the organization who become MIMAF members.

All assessments are passed on to MIMAF HQ for accreditation, registration, and processing of fees and commissions.

All certifications and documents from MIMAF HQ are provided in pdf. (read only format) for printing. This method expedites the process of accreditation as the applicant/organization receives the certifications and document(s) sooner. In addition, insurance and shipping costs are removed.

Further, applicants are able to make copies of their certifications and documents onto any desired paper. They keep the pdf. copy for further reprinting. All certifications and documents are sent more securely.

All MIMAF HUBS are referred to as MIMAF Regional HUBS. Any RMH may seek to merge with another at any time. Simply contact HQ for ratification.

Financial benefits and increased international recognition are some of the advantages of developing as a MIMAF HUB.

MIMAF provides verification of all MIMAF accreditation via email to any enquirer.

Fee Discounts are also available to officials/board members of a regional HUB e.g., commission removed/not taken.
