The MIMAF Institute also conducts a 'Specialist Innovations Laboratory' via a MIMAF host dojo It is a place for the exploration and development of new ideas and skills via the Four (4) Stages of Learning and Continuous Practice Skills Development Program. MIMAF Members can apply to become a host dojo for such an event. Practitioners attending such an event can receive MIMAF awards to be used as credits towards a MIMAF grade or MIMAF Microcredential.
PURPOSE
- MIMAF Specialist Innovation Laboratories use creative processes like brainstorming and design thinking to develop new ideas. The ‘Specialist’ term focuses on a theme. It could be a Judo Lab, a Weapons Lab, a Martial Arts Sports Lab, or even an Elite-level Exercise Training Lab. In addition, it accommodates the Batsugun Program. It is also the R&D division of the Masters International Martial Arts Institute where Grand Masters often come together to share their knowledge and experience.
- MIMAF Specialist Innovation Labs seek to accelerate development in all areas of the Martial Arts via Research & Development (R&D).
- MIMAF Specialist Innovation Labs also seek to foster collaboration via Collaborative Teams & Signature Relationship Practices, via the development of an appropriate Support Culture (sustained collaboration) along with the development of a sense of community (both task- and relationship-oriented).
- MIMAF Specialist Innovation Labs can partner with other organizations to create solutions that seek to address real-world issues. This focuses on self-efficacy development as it applies to mastery experiences, vicarious (social) modelling experiences, instruction (verbal persuasion), and considered physiological factors.
- The MIMAF Institute is also responsible for accrediting members via the various requirements found in each of the Practitioner Pathways. Detailed Syllabus requirements are available to members - please enquire via the 'APPLY' page.
